Centerville Downtown
Legend
Centerville, MN leadership began shaping its downtown redevelopment in late 2005. A large piece of the community’s identity and history rests in the influence of the French Canadians and the town’s strategic (central) location between Stillwater and Anoka. Prompted by the successful revitalization of those two related towns and other outer ring communities… Centerville retained the Beard Group Inc. to marshal their redevelopment initiative for their historic but dated downtown.
“New Urbanism;” wherein their marketable French Canadian heritage is melded with contemporary form and function in order to serve the community, is the engine of the project. Centerville Downtown is a multifaceted redevelopment project. The core redevelopment is set to begin in mid 2007. The Beard Group will master plan and facilitate market appropriate and specialized housing as well as retail and commercial concerns.
Property/Site
