About Ron Mehl

As a Development Principal with The Beard Group, Inc. Ron’s role on the development team focuses on vertical housing (i.e.) apartments, condominiums, senior cooperatives: and their related business metrics and financing strategies.

Ron began his career with Burnham Pacific Properties in his hometown of San Diego upon graduating from university with a Business Administration /Accounting degree. Since 1996 Ron has been directly involved with new project development, financing, acquisitions, asset management, negotiating with lenders, general contractors and third party vendors, as well as working with outside legal counsel. Ron has worked to support the management of a $400,000,000 portfolio and assisted in the restructuring of $50,000,000 of Debt and $40,000,000 of equity.

His hands-on experience with finance, accounting and mastery of the complex processes involved with multi-family property development constitute a valuable experiential base from which to serve community re-development and multi use initiatives.

Ron resides in Eden Prairie, MN with his wife Molly and is a devotee of outdoor sports and wildlife conservation causes.
